The treatment is a discreet and gentle process whereby old faecal matter is gently flushed from the colon wall for improved health and vitality. During the 45 minute process, approximately 60 litres of filtered warm water are gently flushed through the colon via a small speculum and in doing so carry old faecal matter away with it. As a fully trained Iridologist, Herbalist and Reflexologist, Rebecca will make an assessment of your colon and treat with appropriate herbs for maximum benefit. Reflex points on your feet will be stimulated during the session for maximum effect. Your modesty is preserved at all times.

Preparing for a Colonic.

Prior to treatment, I will discuss your needs by phone. It is most often beneficial to take herbal preparations before treatment, we will discuss this. Sometimes it is necessary to have a series of treatments for maximum benefit. After the initial course of treatment, it is advisable to continue with a maintenance treatment every 3 months.

Is it safe?

The equipment I use is all disposable. In addition to this, I use hospital approved sterilisation solutions and procedures. The water flow is very gentle, there is no risk of perforation of the bowel. Colonics are not habit-forming, the treatment actually encourages the tone and natural function of the bowel.

is an ancient Chinese technique that uses pressure point massage (usually on the feet but sometime hands or ears) to restore the flow of energy throughout the entire body. By stimulating these reflexes which correspond to particular parts of the body with pressure and manipulation, nerve function and blood supply may be improved and this in turn can help to alleviate stress and other health problems. Reflexology can help to restore balance throughout the body. I use the original Hook method first developed by Doreen Bayley, this technique focuses on each point in isolation and produces excellent results.

is a holistic massage treatment which utilises oils that are extracted from leaves, barks, roots and flowers, each one having its own therapeutic properties. It can relieve a wide range of intractable complaints and Is particularly effective for treating stress. It treats the whole person not just the basic problem.

An aromatherapy treatment will leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed and revitalised.

We do not recommend Colonic Hydrotherapy if:

There is an active infection or inflammation such as; crohns disease, diverticulitis, ulcerative colitis etc. A painful fissure or severe hemorrhoids. Treatment can be given once healed or in remission.

You have congestive heart disease, severe uncontrolled hypertension, severe anaemia, liver cirrhosis, kidney disease, severe hemorrhaging, colorectal carcinoma, severe inguinal or abdominal hernias.

You are in the first 20 weeks of pregnancy or have a complicated pregnancy.
